Carp Coaster (Kevin Nash) This coaster features Kevin Nash's logo. A lifelong carp fisherman, Kevin Nash started fishing in the 1960s when there were few carp anglers. He has witnessed carping develop over the years and got involved with making his first tackle company in the 1970s. Today, as CEO of Nash Tackle, one of the world's top carping tackle providers, Kevin remains actively involved in fishing and loves exploring neglected UK waters for hidden gems. This standard-size coaster measures 100 by 100 by 5 mm, perfect for my coaster holders: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3130397 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3547597 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3546596 I printed this model with Ultimaker white PLA using a 0.2mm layer height and 18% infill. My extruder was set at 210 degrees Celsius, and I used a heated bed to prevent curling at the bottom. To avoid issues, I added a brim; feel free to experiment with your own configuration. Design Process I discovered Kevin Nash's logo online and converted it into an SVG file using Inkscape. Then, I opened the file in Blender and created a 3D object. Next, I repaired the model in Meshmixer and removed unwanted features. To create the coaster, I used simple modeling techniques in 123D Design or you can use Tinkercad or download a template from my website (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3542555). After saving it as an STL file, I sliced it for printing using Netfabb Online Service, which offers more repair options than MakePrintable.
