Carousel Base
thingiverse
I had to find a way to use the brass M8 nuts I wanted, so I decided to stiffen up the connection by adding a conical feature to the central post and another nut at the bottom to really make it sturdy. To get the threads lined up properly, I had to do some careful alignment, but the end result is a very solid-feeling base! Also included with this project is the SolidWorks 2016 file if anyone wants to play around with it further.
