Carnifex Hand Cannon (Cut to fit on smaller print beds)

This is my revamped Carnifex Hand Cannon. I have fabricated an edition of this, and I'm detailing my assembly process on various sections. http://www.therpf.com/f9/mass-effect-carnifex-prop-solidworks-3d-printing-219469/ This site holds most of the effort I've invested in this project, as well as information about how they have performed during testing. The primary component was dissected into smaller parts to accommodate print beds with reduced dimensions and minimize warping. StarJeff is developing a display base for this firearm, accessible here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1850891 Update 8-4-2015: I manufactured another edition of these Hand Cannons, presented it to Rana McAnear (the physical model for Samara/Morinth), and can be found in several of her social media profiles, along with upcoming convention displays. Assembly Process I added holes between parts allowing insertion of 1.75mm filament fragments for easier assembly using cement. With PLA components, I used Plasti-Weld cement. Be aware that this material generates fumes that may impact your health negatively. If you use ABS materials instead, utilize Acetone-based cement to accomplish similar alignment and adhesion without negative side effects. You can see more detailed post-print assembly process descriptions by visiting the forums section dedicated to the Therpf discussion forum for detailed breakdowns from my first-hand experience on Carnifex assemblies created with PLA/ABS printing technology combinations.
