Carlo V Superiorie at Herculaneum
sketchfab
A Roman road in the devastated town of Herculaneum lies hidden beneath volcanic ash after the catastrophic eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79. The town of Herculaneum was carefully planned with a grid pattern of streets. Unlike Pompeii, its roads remained ungrooved since heavy carts did not constantly travel through its streets.
