Carlo Marochetti, Baron Marochetti (1805-1867), was a renowned Italian sculptor who garnered the patronage of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert after 1848. As a regular exhibitor at the prestigious Royal Academy and a prominent figure in London's vibrant art scene, Marochetti created numerous statues of notable figures such as Queen Victoria and the Duke of Wellington, alongside many exquisite decorative works and busts. This magnificent bronze statuette was carefully incised and dated in 1888 by skilled sculptor Gabriele Ambrosio (1844-1918). This remarkable object is part of "Scan The World", a groundbreaking non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory, which aims to create a vast digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe for the public to access at no cost.
