Carisma SCA-1E Range Rover Door Handles
thingiverse
Here's a 3D door handle design specifically tailored for the Carisma Range Rover body shell. This update includes an additional file with thicker side walls, allowing you to create handles that are at least 0.4mm in thickness. The package comes with two files: one for the standard handle and another with a keyhole feature. I used vinyl to achieve the silver finish, but paint is also a viable option. Before installation, mark out the desired positions of the door handles and use a body reamer to create four small holes in each corner. Then, employ a craft knife to carefully cut out the rectangular shape, making sure not to damage the molded-in handle on the body shell. Once you've prepared the area, simply push the 3D-printed door handles into place, ensuring that the lip around the edge of the handle covers most of the cut. For added security, apply hot glue to the back side of the handle to keep it firmly in position. The hole required for installation is slightly shorter and wider than the existing indents on the body shell, which should provide a more precise fit compared to the originals. This DIY solution may be a more appealing option for those who dislike the standard decals.
