Cargo straps with tensioners are incredibly versatile, but what happens when they're no longer in use? You can easily store them by rolling them up and securing them with rubber bands, minimizing the space needed. Place them in a plastic box or carton, making sure they stay together and don't become disorganized during transit on bumpy roads or while moving between the car and garage. I grew tired of those chaotic moments and designed this handy spool to wind up the strap and mount it on the inside of a van wall or tool board. This two-part piece is crafted from ABS Titan X, printed with precision using Formfutura's technology, and "glued" together with acetone for a sturdy bond. Inside the van, I utilized pre-mounted M6 nuts as a base and inserted a threaded M6 rod, its length carefully calibrated to match the spool's width plus 30mm. A 10mm piece is screwed in place with a counter nut to apply gentle tension, preventing it from shifting loose. The other end protrudes from the spool, and for added convenience, I employed wing nuts in M6 size, allowing easy mounting and dismounting without excessive effort.
