Cargo strap clamp for hexagonal builds
thingiverse
I recently started attending an artisan school, which focuses on woodworking, and thought it would be cool to create a chest as a project. While drafting ideas at various times, I came up with the concept of a hexagonal design and created blueprints for myself to build a prototype. However, when preparing parts, I encountered a challenge that had not occurred to me: how could I assemble this nicely together? My fellow students suggested using a pair of cargo straps, but doing so presented several problems. The lock system and links would compromise the product's design, and it would be difficult to tighten it evenly. To resolve these issues, I designed a clamp for the strap to slide through, ensuring that metal parts wouldn't damage my product. Edit: A new version of the largest model has been added, featuring embossed markings.
