This is a sturdy anchor point engineered specifically for use in automotive cargo areas. The tie downs are crafted to be installed on an interior panel within the cargo area and only necessitate two 3mm holes to be drilled for installation. A two-part design functions as a clamp, securely sandwiching both sides of an interior panel to evenly distribute loads without causing deformation or warping. This design prioritizes durability and holding power while allowing for even load distribution. In addition to the provided printed part, you will need 2 M3 lock nuts and 2 M3 screws (the length of the screw may vary depending on the thickness of the panel being installed). These tie downs were designed with enthusiasts in mind who enjoy spirited driving and require secure storage solutions. They are suitable for use in trunks, the rear of SUVs, or even cabins. A high-load variant has been included, featuring a larger edge-to-edge loop for easier printing and enhanced durability. An alternative back plate design is also available to accommodate users with limited access to small hex sockets. Print Settings: Printer: Flashforge Creator Pro Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 100% Notes: When printing these load-bearing parts, it's highly recommended that you use 100% infill for maximum durability and minimum risk of failure. These parts were printed with Hatchbox ABS filament at 230C on a clean glass build plate heated to 100C, using 0mm offset and an 8-outline thick brim to prevent warping. It is suggested that either ABS or Nylon be used for printing these tie downs due to the brittleness of PLA under repeated stress. Printing supports for the tie down loops is also crucial as print quality can suffer without them.
