CARduino (1:18 arduino based RC car)
cults3d
Hi everyone! This is my final project - a fully Arduino-based, 1:18 scale RC car with suspension. If you enjoy this project and want daily updates on upgrades, videos of the car in action, and other projects I'm working on, follow me on Instagram at engineli_3d. This car runs on a powerful 1000 KV A2212 BL motor that can be purchased along with an ESC for approximately 10 euros. The suspension is supported by four 8x12x3.5 mm bearings (a few euros) and features a sleek design. I used two Arduino Nano boards, each paired with a NRF24L01 WiFi module (totaling around 7 euros on AliExpress), as well as two joystick modules for precise control. A homemade battery pack made from two Li-ion cells, 18650, sourced from an old laptop battery powers the car. The entire structure is held together by M3 screws, with most measuring 10mm in length and some longer ones used for the wheels, Arduino mount, and front arm suspension (25mm). The tires are taken from a Wltoys A959 RC car. This project is still a work in progress. Next, I plan to design a new transmitter that features a conventional steering wheel and throttle trigger. Additionally, an aesthetic truggy-style rollbar will be added for improved stability and style.
