Recycling cardboard boxes is an excellent idea, and it's a great way to start learning digital fabrication. A single 0.3 square meter piece of 4-4.2mm thick cardboard can create a 3D structure that's 320mm in diameter and 305mm high. To make this structure, you'll need a laser cutter and it's designed for use with an E27 lamp.
