# Card9 Case ## History * September 21st, 2019: Major updates implemented * August 20th, 2019: Initial release made public ## Features The card9 case provides enhanced protection for your card10 while still allowing access to most sensors, buttons, and LEDs. ## Editing This repository contains a free CAD file of the card10 case. Feel free to modify it as per your requirements. To export an STL file, select the bodies you wish to combine and use the "Export" option under the "File" menu. For example, to create the supplied card10case.stl, select the following files: * Card10cover group * Hull * Button A * Button B * Button C * Button D * Clip A * Clip B * Clip C * Clip D ## Printing When using an FDM printer, printing the model upside down is recommended. Support needs to be activated for the large gap in the lower right corner. Some slicers may attempt to add support to the buttons on the left and right side, but this is not necessary and can be blocked if possible. Printing with a 0.175mm layer height or smaller using a 0.4mm nozzle should produce acceptable results. Please share your experiences with different printers and materials so others can benefit from them. ## Installation Before installation, ensure that all print artefacts have been removed and the buttons are mobile. If necessary, use a cutter to make them movable. To attach the case to your card10, first insert the right edge (with the two buttons close together) of your card10 into the case and carefully pivot the card10 into the case. Make sure not to damage the buttons during this process. The case will snap onto the card10 and hold it securely in place. Additionally, you can use some string to secure it to the sewing holes on the fundamental (lower) PCB.
