I wanted a more compact holder for the Act and Agenda decks in Arkham Horror LCG that could fit into the Campaign Expansion boxes I left extra space between the two pieces holding the card so I could add some padding between the PLA to not damage the sleeved cards. Currently using 3M 9448A Double Coated Tissue Tape for padding, with paper towels adhered to the side touching the cards. (~1.85mm padding on both sides)
