Card Holder 2.0

Card Holder 2.0

thingiverse

This is a remake of my original card holder that came to fruition during a visit to my grandfather, who faced challenges holding cards while we played due to his advancing age. The experience led to him finding it increasingly difficult to play the card games he cherished with me, prompting the creation of this new and improved design. Initially inspired by his need for an easier way to hold and organize cards, I designed and sent the first card holder to my grandfather, who expressed immense delight with its functionality, particularly in terms of slots that allow easy insertion and organization. However, a drawback of its size was discovered, which sometimes led to accidental tipping. In response, numerous rows were integrated into this revised model, ensuring there's ample space for playing Uno when you need to manage dozens of cards. Despite making some progress with design, my limited capacity in college hinders the possibility of creating another identical model, leading me to retain the original dimensions as a reference point. Any issues or suggestions you may encounter are most welcome; future enhancements and improvements will be continuously made. **Print Settings** * Rafts: It doesn't matter. * Supports: It's not needed here either. * Resolution: Between 0.2 and 0.4 * Infill: I recommend setting it to at least 25% **Post-Printing Instructions** For the main body part, simply extrude it 8 times and make sure all parts are turned on their sides before starting to print as they're all designed to not require any support material. Please note that this is the first version (1.0). Unfortunately my printer was facing issues when printing which is why I had a hard time capturing its size properly but it should still provide you with an idea of how big everything is.
