Card box for UNO game cards
thingiverse
Whenever my son wants to play a game of Uno, we start by searching for the cards, which inevitably leads to a messy desk with cards scattered all over or lost entirely. To put an end to this chaos, we bought a brand-new set of Uno cards. I decided to create a custom card box to keep our Uno playing cards organized and prevent them from getting lost in the future. Since I also own a Palette 2, I took the opportunity to add the Uno logo to both sides of the card box. This makes it crystal clear what's inside without having to open the box. The card box consists of two main parts: the 'Desk Holder' and the 'Lid'. The Desk Holder contains the cards and features strategically placed gaps for easy removal, making it simple to grab a playing card when you need one. The Lid is the part that slides over the Desk Holder, closing the card box securely. Both components are connected by a snap fit mechanism that's loose enough to open easily but firm enough to prevent the box from opening accidentally while holding onto the lid. To bring this project to life, I used PLA in the classic colors of the Uno logo: white, black, red, and yellow. If you prefer to print your card box in a single color, simply follow these steps to prepare it for slicing, and you'll be done in no time.
