Card / Badge holder

Card / Badge holder

thingiverse

I was searching for a card holder that would fit three cards: a badge, metro-pass, and credit card. I needed something with sliding sides that was easy to use and secure. That's when I stumbled upon this design online at thingiverse.com/thing:1024848. The sliding shape is quite similar, and it proved that the concept works well. I used the same Creative Commons license as the original designer, which is non-commercial, so I considered my version a continuation or interpretation of their work due to our differing needs. I'd like to extend a huge thank you to Tony D for sharing his designs and videos with the community. In this updated iteration, I've added an attachment point at the top that features a flexible shape, allowing users to lock in their cards while still being able to bend it when sliding them up initially or all at once. I've also included a covering shape at the bottom to keep the cards in place. The items shown in the picture were printed using the following parameters: PLA filament with 0.4mm layer thickness, a Hilbert curve fill pattern for top and bottom layers, and a density setting of 40%. Additionally, support generation was set to (0 hours 27 minutes). This design also includes a definition for a support structure to remove during printing.
