Carcassonne Tile Grids
thingiverse
Carcassonne is a tile-based game where players build the board as they lay tiles. However, maintaining straight tiles can be challenging, especially near table edges. To overcome this issue, Tile Grids hold nine tiles in perfect alignment and connect via dovetail joints to expand the board in any direction. Raised ridges between tiles do not affect gameplay. A small game may use ten grids, while larger games with expansions could require 20 or more grids. Photos depict a growing Carcassonne board over time. Note: Platform alignment is crucial, and letting the platform cool before lifting prevents warping. Print at 0.2mm layer height and 100% fill. Dovetail joint fit may vary with filament width; trimming with an X-Acto knife might be necessary. Tile Grids have been printed in black and green ABS, with preferences differing between players.
