Carbon Filter - Ikea Lack

I was worried about the hazardous fumes that melting plastic could cause, so I started researching and what I found wasn't much. The information available said it's best to run my printer in a well-ventilated room. This made me wonder about what I'm exposing myself to when I open my enclosure and inhale right after a print is done. I came across a website that talked about the benefits of using carbon to filter the exhaust coming off my printer, so I decided to try it out. Since I wanted one specifically for my IKEA Lack enclosure, I made my own. I'm not sure if this helps with the fumes, but it can't hurt. To make this, you'll need: - An 80mm fan (I used a 12v computer fan with a buck converter), - Window screen material (placed in the carbon to keep small pieces from falling through), - Activated carbon - Amazon, - A 5 inch hole saw (to cut a hole in the top of your LACK enclosure).
