<p>When you wash your car with a bucket of soapy water, the dirt that comes off the car ends up in that bucket. This grit guard captures that dirt and keeps it from getting back on your sponge and scratching the paint.</p><p>It was inspired by the design from Chemical Guys, but theirs fits a 12 inch bucket. The more typical 5 gallon buckets you find at home improvement stores measure 10 inches at the base. These buckets are often branded with the store's color and logo. Common stores include Home Depot. Lowes, Ace Hardware, and Harbor Freight.</p><p>The cones make it easier for dirt to fall through but harder to come back up. This keeps the soapy water cleaner. Your sponge can sink to the bottom without sitting in all the heavy pebbles and debris.</p><p>Print 3 pieces of Grit_Guard_10in_Third and glue them together if your 3D printer has a bed smaller than 300mm^2 and at least 180mm^2.</p><p>No supports needed and it's easy to print with large nozzle and thick layer heights.</p>
