Car visor support

I've had my fair share of struggles with loose car visors, and one particularly vexing issue arose when my 2008 Toyota Camry's driver-side visor came loose. I suspected that something was amiss inside or a screw had worked its way free, but the design of the visor made it clear that I'd have to disassemble it by removing the stitching - a daunting task, especially given the fact that the internal components were made of plastic. If the threads on those plastic parts had become worn, my only hope would be super glue, which hardly seemed like a reliable solution. In an effort to avoid the hassle and time involved in disassembling the visor, I opted for a replacement with genuine Toyota parts, which set me back $150 (including labor). However, just a few months later, my passenger-side visor began to exhibit the same loose behavior, prompting me to take matters into my own hands this time around.
