Car Throttle Challenge Entry

In designing an automotive throttle, the focus is on creating an innovative yet usable product. My unique design features two sensors for increased accuracy and reliability, though at slightly higher cost. The pedal can cater to various car types, offering precision for sportier cars and longevity for economy ones. To maintain durability, the pedal is hung down to keep electronics away from dirt and debris. Its mounting position depends on seat placement in specific cars. A spring provides resistance up to 250 pounds of force, causing slight damage but maintaining functionality. The pedal weighs around 1.5 pounds, made of acetal resin pad and aluminum body. Manufacturing methods include milling, 3D printing, injection molding, and welding. Sensors are fitted with adhesive for secure placement, and the pedal can endure temperatures up to 120 degrees Celsius. This design serves as an initial concept, open to further improvements through research and manufacturing optimization. Feedback is appreciated!
