Car Smartphone & GPS holder
thingiverse
This is a smartphone support that attaches to the air vent grille of a car. The mounting point is located near the center of the device, making it usable in both vertical and horizontal positions. The provided STL model is suitable for devices with a maximum thickness of 10mm (my phone has a thickness of 9.6mm with its case), a height of approximately 140mm, and a width of around 70mm. The width can be adjusted by a slotted screw that facilitates the insertion of the device. However, it may be necessary to adapt the model for devices with significantly different dimensions. To do this, you can access the source model online on Onshape: create an account if needed at https://www.onshape.com/, then search for public models at https://cad.onshape.com and look for "GPS_holder_PM". Copy the model to edit it as desired. Available parameters include device dimensions (width, height, thickness) and a possible downward adjustment of lateral hooks to avoid them being at the same level as your smartphone's buttons. However, everything can be modified if you want; you have the entire model available. To generate a new printable STL file, right-click on the part in Onshape and select "Export..."
