Car Pi Rack - Subaru Center Console

Car Pi Rack - Subaru Center Console

As per usual, it is a work in progress. With this I extra mean it. I am still building and gathering parts for my carpi project, so this will probably be further edited once I have all of my pieces. There are three parts to this design: The Chassis, the Pi-Rack, and the Top Tray. The chassis drops into the center console and the other components attach to it. There are openings to maintain the use of the OEM ports in the center console. There is also space to glue in 12mm magnets to keep the tray attached to the chassis. This also houses a 100mm PC fan (currently planning on this: https://www.newegg.com/silenx-efx-10-12-case-fan/p/N82E16835226040?Item=9SIAH8WK636136). The Pi-Rack sides into the chassis in the lower area and is the area that houses the Pi itself. You can see from the screenshots that 4 Rasberry Pi 4B's will fit. Not that I expect anyone to run 4, but I am hoping that this amount of space will be enough for the Pi, a UPS/battery backup, and a GPS module. There is an opening between the shelves for cables, as well as on the back for access to power, video, and control. The tray has been sized to fit an iPhone 15. It might fit with a small case. So if your phone is that size or smaller it should fit. At the bottom, there is an opening for a Chubby Cable power pad for wireless phone charging (https://chubbycable.com/products/double-sided-transparent-wireless-charging-magnetic?_pos=76&_sid=8dd1e531c&_ss=r). The tray also features an opening for a small toggle switch. What's it for, I don't know, Perhaps some internal lighting? I just didn't like the wasted space in the earlier versions. This is the switch that I was planning on using: https://www.mcmaster.com/7395K29/ (If you don't need this feel free to just fill in the space). While I am designing this for my project, let me know if you find a use for it, I'm always curious where these things end up. Lastly, thank you to the folks whose pieces I used to help speed up the process. Please see those in the Remix Source Files.
