Car
thingiverse
This car is the result of a video tutorial I created for Lab Aberto, a FabLab based in Torres Vedras. The videos will soon be available online, initially in Portuguese, but maybe someday I'll start posting tutorials in English. Designed for 3mm MDF, this design does not account for kerf compensation, making the use of glue a necessity. This is a scalable design - although it was created with a material thickness of 3mm, you can scale it, for example, to 166.66% to laser-cut it in a 5mm plywood. Update (May 2019) The videos are now available, and you can watch them on LabAberto's YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/lababerto/videos 1 - Introduction: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuevdYdsKvo 2 - Interface and Navigation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giGCqQYw1fo 3 - Laser and Design: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWqCJH8SNPg 4 - Car Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BVDVTEk5ls 5 - Car Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5_9XLEpqPo 6 - Car Part 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnYMwBKzJA8 7 - Car Part 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJ0OVsBPmK8 8 - Car Part 5: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GRzbOECFVs 9 - Car Part 6: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl970I8bAXA 10 - Car Part 7: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDVSGMOrf2Y 11 - Prototype: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owFRypy2opk Update (August 2019) - New instructions are available. - The laser-cut file is in DXF R12 ASCII format.
