Car holder for Samsung Galaxy S7, and HTC Desire 620
thingiverse
Holders are crafted to be connected seamlessly with 6mm aluminum rods. These rods should be attached securely to the obsolete navigation holder using screws or zipties. The Galaxy S7 with its back cover boasts a similar thickness to the HTC without cover, resulting in both units sliding smoothly into place. On the left side, light sensors are exposed, preventing the phone from switching to minimum brightness when automatic brightness mode is enabled. A cutout for the speaker is also cleverly integrated into this design. Meanwhile, the right side showcases the S7 home button, microphone, another speaker, and micro USB connector for charging. Both sides were printed without supports, as they are designed for efficient bridging with vertical walls and a continuous top cover between them. However, when attaching the right side to the rods, caution is advised to avoid damage, such as the upper part breaking immediately. This unexpected outcome can be seen as a feature, exposing the back button of S7 and necessitating the print of a wall on the right edge.
