I swapped out my basic phone dock design after switching to the Google Pixel XL (what a fantastic device by the way, check out my review at https://www.alphatechnologies.ca/pixel-xl-one-week-later/). Some good adhesive tape that's removable, locate a suitable spot, and stick it in place. I find that I slip my phone into the holder when getting in the car and never end up with a dead battery by the end of the day. You'll need to adjust for your USB C cable. Since I have a thin case on the phone, I sized for the combination.
