Car Dual USB Cable Box
thingiverse
My nephew upgraded his original Suzuki Swift car stereo system with an Android one (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000270216492.html). The new system has two female USB ports where the original had only one. So, I designed this holder for two female USB connector cables. To assemble it, use either two small countersunk screws or insert small sections of 1.75mm filament into the three provided channels and melt their ends. The original USB port hole was too small for this dual connector housing, so it had to be enlarged with a stepped drill bit. In this case, the enlargement needed to go in the upper right direction only because some space is required for the assembly nut. I used a red pastel crayon to fill the hollow text on the front of the adapter. As usual, the OpenSCAD source file has extensive comments, making it easy to adapt it to different sets of cables. A warning: anyone who wants to use this Android system in their Suzuki Swift should be aware that we had to cut out a lot of plastic from the bottom part of the car dash housing to install it.
