If putting car carpets back in position all the time gets on your nerves, I feel right at home. I used dry wall screws that I shortened by about 1 inch to 4/5-20 mm and installed as shown in the images. Textile carpets require the thicker clip, while rubber carpeting needs the thinner clip. Be cautious when installing in your car; you don't want to drive a screw into any cable. Don't come crying to me if this causes damage - I'm not taking responsibility for that. When mounting the screw, start by making threads by turning it in normally. Then flip it around and secure it. Use pliers or something similar to hold the threads; you don't want to hurt yourself doing this.
