Hikman Dragon artist: Hikman Béla (1887-1958) location of original sculpt: Marcali Museum JUST Capturing Reality was utilized throughout the process, with no external DCC tools involved in cleaning or fixing workflow. (701 images - original mesh at medium construction: 15 million poly decimated/simplified to 450k inside RC) Due to an ongoing RealityCapture photogrammetry competition, I seized the opportunity and obtained permission from the Museum of Marcali in Hungary to capture my favorite dragon-related sculpture. I was fortunate enough to receive the museum's support to accomplish the scanning task. The sculpture itself was created in 1930 as a sign for Master Hikman's locksmith workshop. The iron dragon is approximately man-sized. Béla Hikman (1887-1958) was a skilled locksmith, but his true artistic talent lay behind his craft. The Hikman Dragon belongs to Béla Hikman's grandchildren and can be visited in the Museum of Marcali.
