Captured Superpulley
thingiverse
This is a compact captured pulley used to minimize friction with fine wires or thread. It's incorporated into my Jack Skellington articulated hand extender, available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1809355. These pulleys were originally designed as prototypes but have proven so effective that I'll be using them in future puppet rigging projects. A pair of pliers should be used to remove the pulley from its base after printing. A few drops of 3-in-1 oil can also help ensure smooth rotation.
