The range of "Capsules" is a line of fun and practical storage containers that resemble medicine capsules, making them highly customizable in terms of colors and combinations, resulting in an incredibly unique appearance. Capsules come in various sizes to accommodate different uses such as storing medications, cables, parts, small toys, nuts, bolts, jewelry, and many more items. Their versatility and reusability make them a great gift idea that's both fun and unique. Additionally, they're very convenient for traveling, allowing you to keep small items together and safe. Here are the sizes of Capsules: - 50mm Inside Diameter - 140mm (Long) / 100mm (Medium) / 65mm (Short) - 32mm Inside Diameter - 140mm (Long) / 100mm (Medium) / 65mm (Short) - FOB 10mm Inside Diameter - 70mm (Long) / 28mm (Short) The joint between the "a" and "b" parts of Capsules is designed with a press/snap fit. Well-printed Capsule files on precise machines should result in a firm, secure joint that won't come apart unless you want it to. The "a" side of the joint features several tabs that are inserted into the "b" side, allowing for clearance during compression to create a snap/secure fit. Once joined/seated correctly, the two halves will rotate against each other but won't come apart until pulled apart with a slight twist/snapping action. Please note that the shorter versions can be slightly harder to pull apart due to less area to grip/hold onto them, but with practice, they become easy to close/open. To make opening and closing easier, it's recommended to apply a light lubricant to the mating surfaces so they slide past each other more smoothly. Dry layered PLA can be surprisingly grippy, requiring only one application of silicone lubricant for the life of the Capsule. Capsules are relatively easy prints but good build plate adhesion is critical due to the limited contact area of each part on the build plate. For this reason, a Raft is highly recommended to help hold the print secure by increasing the surface area on the build plate. A well-formed Raft should snap away quickly/easily by hand. Refer to the print instructions and images for additional information, and please post images of your Capsules in use so other members can see them. Have fun experimenting with color options!
