Capsela Connector

I've got a vintage 1990 Capsela 700 set from my childhood that still holds up at my parents' place, which is a day's drive away. The kids enjoy playing with it when we're there. This set has endured me, intact, despite some cracked and stressed connectors. My son accidentally stepped on a few connectors, snapping them in half. Luckily, I had brought my calipers along for that trip, so I measured the parts and sketched out some ideas. I was surprised to find limited Capsela parts available on Thingiverse. The aesthetics of existing connector replacements didn't impress me, and I'm unsure if the old design mentioned would fit our 1990 model.
