Caprock Canyon Topography

Caprock Canyon Topography

thingiverse

This is a topographical map of Caprock Canyon in Texas' panhandle area. I uploaded it per your user request, specifically focusing on the west side of the park, where elevation changes are more dramatic. Take a look at my Palo Duro Canyon map for an idea of what this will resemble when printed! Instructions: Printed with PLA on an Ultimaker 2 using CURA on its default "normal" settings. You'll notice a couple of pin holes in the top of my model, which I believe is due to the extruder under-flowing from a small clog. To speed up printing time, I lowered the print into the bed by 5mm as it was excessively thick. You can create STL files similar to this one using this website: http://jthatch.com/ To clean up the mesh, I used Netfab's free software repair tool on default settings.
