#Capra R20 - RC Racer/Glider ###This was a French racer designed for the Deutsch de la Meurthe Cup Race in 1939. Unfortunately, it never reached completion due to wartime interruptions and engine problems with its Flat 12-cylinder Béarn motor. ###Little is known about this racer, but a blog post from Jacques Moulin sheds light on its brief history. ##Data - Wing span: 830mm - Length: approximately 600mm - FAD18 airfoil designed by Franck Aguerre (optimized for 60" gliders and F3F pitcheron models like the Hypnosys2) - Pitcheron setup used in this design - CG: 41mm, with a rear limit of 43mm on the main carbon rod - The entire plane was conceptualized using PredimRC Requires: - Two servos: Hyperion DS09, Corona DS843MG, or Graupner DES 427 BB - Lipo battery: 3S-600mAh / 3S-850mAh - Motor: [1806-2300Kv](http://rctimer.com/product-1128.html) + 20A controller + 5x4 propeller or similar configuration - Tiny 4-channel receiver - Main carbon rod diameter: 6mm - 240mm long - 2mm balsa for elevator construction - Small parts (PVC tube 2/1mm, steel rod diameter 2mm, magnets diameter 4mm, two ball joint components) ##Print - Approximately 200g of PLA+ filament is required (recycled Zakata 3D850 was used for the wings) - Maximum printer height: 200mm - No support material is needed; just some brim will suffice - Fuselage: Layer thickness 0.2mm - One 0.4mm wall (will be adjusted to 0.36mm in part3/part4) - Wing: Layer 0.2mm and line width 0.35mm ##Weight - Wing: approximately 51g each - Fuselage parts: around 85g - RTF weight: approximately 375g with a 3S-850mAh battery ##RC settings - Delta mixer configuration used in this setup - Elevator function: +/-8mm (measured at the trailing edge/wing root) - Aileron function: +/-5mm - 4mm holes for magnets set the wing's neutral position ##Updates - 23/04/2020: Initial upload (v0.1) - 11/07/2020: v0.12 - fuselage Part2 reinforcement (flat 3mm carbon) - spacer - removable noose for glider (lead placed inside) - 15/07/2020: Alternative wing with TP60J airfoil added, better suited for aerobatics and inverted flight
