Capped 2 Gang Rocker Switch Plate
prusaprinters

This is a variation of a basic 2 gang rocker switch plate. I have a 2 year old son who likes to play with light switches and I wanted a cover that would make it difficult for him to turn on our gas fireplace, yet still allow me to access the switches. Print 2 of the caps for each plate and glue them together (I applied a thin layer of 2-part epoxy from the back after fitting the pieces together). The access hole of the cap can be oriented at either the top or bottom of the switch depending on circumstances. With the hole at the top, it will generally be more difficult for the toddler to reach into the hole, but he will be able to turn the switch on if he does. With the hole at the bottom, the hole will be more accessible, but short fingers should only be able to access the “off” side of the switch.
