Capital - Exorcising the Canaanite Woman's Daughter
myminifactory
A woman from Canaan appears beside Christ, yet her face is heavily distorted. Her cruciform halo and three disciples identify her as recognisable. She approaches Jesus to free her daughter from a demon that possesses her. The woman refers to him as the "Son of David," demonstrating her recognition of his role as Saviour. Initially, however, he declines to assist her because she is not Jewish. He responds, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel's household." This statement is reinforced by an inscription: "Non sum missus nisi ad oves que perierunt domum Israel." Nevertheless, Jesus grants her request due to her unwavering faith and humility.
