On Easter morning, two devoted followers of Christ set out on a journey from Jerusalem, bound for the city of Emmaus. As they walked along the winding road, a stranger emerged from the crowd and joined them. Although his face was unfamiliar, Jesus deliberately concealed his true identity. Disguised as a typical pilgrim of the twelfth century, he listened intently to their conversation, absorbing every word about the recent events that had shaken Jerusalem and the gossip surrounding the empty tomb. As night began to fall, the two men invited their new acquaintance to share in their evening meal. It was then that Jesus revealed his true self through a simple yet profound act: breaking bread. The gesture instantly sparked recognition in the hearts of his companions, transporting them back to the Last Supper, where they had last seen him break bread with his disciples.
