Capital carving, Lanercost church, Cumbria, UK

This is a restored stone capital, situated high up on the North face of the East wall in the nave of Lanercost parish church, located in Cumbria, UK - a remnant of the former priory. Reconstructed from photographs taken in August 2017 using Colmap and Meshlab, this model showcases areas filled with no actual input when viewed from different angles. Lanercost church is listed among Simon Jenkins's top 1000 parish churches. In his book, he notes: "one capital on the south side features beautifully decorated stiff-leaf designs, characteristic of a later Early Gothic style." He wonders how this happened, speculating that an itinerant mason might have arrived one day to demonstrate modern carving techniques and then vanished. I believe the depicted geometry is what he refers to (but which south side - perhaps the north aisle?).
