Capacitive sensor mount for Tronxy P802M/Anet A8
thingiverse
I needed a mount for the LJC18A3-H-Z/BX capacitive sensor so I set about designing one to suit my requirements. Due to my printer's unique cable chain setup and MicroSwiss Mk10 extruder, I had to position the sensor at the front left of the extruder to work effectively and still allow for secure attachment using the supplied lock nuts. The mount fits snugly behind the part cooling fan and features a modified Mistral fan duct that provides exceptional cooling performance. To accommodate the extra height of my MicroSwiss extruder setup, I made modifications to the original design of the Mistral fan duct (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2121279). My firmware settings for sensor position are as follows: X_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -21 Y_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER -43 These adjustments have yielded excellent results, producing perfect prints every time. I've printed at 50% infill so far, but it's likely that even lower infill settings, such as 25%, would also work well without compromising strength.
