Cap openener GT2
cults3d
SheepsFeaTheR created a fully functional 3D printed cap opener that caught my eye when I examined its design. A 6mm GT2 belt was the first thing that came to mind, and I'm guessing most 3D printer owners have some lying around. However, not everyone has TPU or TPE filament for printing the belt. I remixed SheepsFeaTheR's design to make it work with a standard GT2 belt. There are two versions available - you can choose what works best for your needs: Cap Opener GT2_OUT features the profile on the outside, while Cap Opener GT2_IN has the belt profile on the inside. I borrowed Prusa's X-Carriage design to keep the GT2 belt in place. Credits go to the original designers. Using this tool is straightforward: wrap the belt around the cap, tighten it slightly, and slide it into the groove. Then, push the belt down at the back end of the opener. The belt will not slip out of the tool.
