Cap Mold Jig for Dice Making

Cap Mold Jig for Dice Making

thingiverse

This jig creates molds for dice out of silicone, with two base options: one featuring callouts like d4 and d6, perfect for high-quality printers, and another without callouts. If you have a lower-end printer, stick to the non-callout version. When making molds, a lot of work is involved. I used playdough to secure this jig in place before mixing silicone mold mix and pouring it into the pressure pot. After curing, I extracted the molds using a butter knife as leverage, cleaned them up like normal, and flipped the jig upside down to create caps. The d20 was too thick, so I added tape to deepen it slightly; if I had made it thinner, it would have worked fine. Note that these files are non-commercial, meaning you can't sell them or modify them for resale, nor can you sell prints created from these files. However, you're free to sell dice made from the molds themselves, and this jig is available for everyone's use at no cost.
