This protective cap safeguards electrically assisted bicycle components utilizing Shimano E-6000 batteries from harsh elements like rain when the battery is detached for recharging or storage. Its purpose is multifaceted, shielding vital components from damage due to exposure. The cap itself boasts a lip at its top and is engineered to provide a snug fit around the block containing electric connectors. This design ensures that the cap remains firmly in place, effectively sealing out moisture and other potential contaminants. Some eBikes on the market employ Shimano's STePS system, which necessitates battery removal for recharging. Consequently, it may be advantageous to safeguard electric connectors when storing bikes outdoors, thereby preventing damage from exposure to the elements. In my modification of this cap, a piece of foam is inserted within its interior, coming into contact with electrical connectors on the bike itself. Conversely, the bottom of the cap remains open to prevent moisture accumulation inside the cap.
