CAP Cast Iron Weight Groove Collar - 45lbs

If you're like me and have a home gym with CAP cast iron plates because they're the cheapest standard diameter Olympic plates you can buy new, you've probably discovered that the bore diameter is ridiculously oversized (55-56mm when it should be 50.4-51), and there's no milling at all, so the bore is incredibly rough. Both of these issues aren't really a problem at all for squat and bench, but for deadlifts, they create major problems: 1) The rough groove will mar up your barbell really easily if you deadlift. 2) The large bore will create a lot of slop when you start the movement, and create a really annoying "clang" on the eccentric. 3) The large bore will cause the plates to splay out on the barbell sleeve, causing them to not stay upright (also causing #1). This semi-permanent collar insert goes right into the groove and fixes both issues rather elegantly. When printing with flex filaments for tight tolerance parts, you need to limit "travel" and retraction. For this particular print, print 0% infill with 2 shells. CRITICAL: YOU MUST USE "Outline Direction" with "Outside-In" and "Start Points" with "Optimize Start Points...". Don't attempt to print multiples in one gcode print, unless you use specialized settings like "sequential" island prints to limit retraction and travel.
