An alternative solution was created by printing the custom-designed "Cantilever Z Flag.stl". This design includes an integrated flag, eliminating the need for M3 bolts and nuts, while only increasing print time slightly. To install the new flag, insert an M3 nut into the nut trap to align with the holes. Ensure proper functioning with opto-endstops, which may require black electrical insulating tape to block IR light. Disassemble the cantilevered Z stage and remove the current z flag assembly before replacing it with the new one, lining up the holes. Reattach the top plate and Z stage, using white 5mm stand offs if necessary, and secure with M3x20mm bolts. Calibrate your printer by printing test cubes.
