This is a water cooled cantilever printer designed specifically to print in ABS plastic with an enclosure. The hotbed can reach temps of 110 and the hot end can reach 300. The bed could probably reach higher temps however I dont need to go any higher than that. Linear rails on all access. Print speeds are 200mm/sec with acceleration of 3000mm/s^2. Klipper accelerometer testing proved that acceleration could be as high as 8000mm/s^2 however ghosting becomes more apparent. This printer is designed to operate at higher printing temperatures inside of a zipper style enclosure for long periods of time. Currently the stepper drivers are 4988. Ive tried many other steppers and they all fail at higher chamber temperatures. Also this printer does not need any cooling for the stepper drivers nor does it have the aluminum cooling fins attached to drivers. The adhesive for the cooling fines melts at higher temps and causes shorts of the diver and main board. This printer utilizes a custom touch probe that has a consistent repeatability. BL Touch and other probes have difficulty operating within higher chamber temperatures. The material for the panels that support the printer can be made from 1/4 to 3/16 aluminum. Currently I an using 1/4'' coated melamine. Works find for now. But would recommend that this material be upgraded to aluminum. Electonics are a MKS Gen L board, Raspberry PI running Klipper. Happy to provide more info. Just leave a comment.
