WORK IN PROGRESS. PRINT AT 0.1 MM RESOLUTION. 100% INFILL. I'M TESTING WITH CARBON PLA. FIRST PROTOTYPE WORKED, BUT I DIDN'T TEST FOR STRENGTH BECAUSE I HAD IDENTIFIED WEAK AREAS. THIS FILE ADDRESSES THOSE ISSUES, BUT IT HASN'T BEEN TESTED YET. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE WITHOUT FURTHER TESTING. FAILURE IS POSSIBLE. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. UPDATE: I'VE COMPLETED SOME LIGHT TESTING WITH GOOD RESULTS. SOME SANDING IS REQUIRED FOR NOW. I WILL BE MAKING EDITS TO THE FILE TO ELIMINATE SANDING AT SOME POINT. HEAVIER TESTING WILL FOLLOW. UPDATE 04/03/17: I'VE USED THE BRAKES FOR SEVERAL MONTHS MODERATELY WITH NO TROUBLE EVEN THROUGH A VERY MOIST WINTER IN CALIFORNIA. I HAVE NOT USED THE BRAKES ON ANY LONG DESCENTS AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND UNTIL FURTHER TESTING IS COMPLETED. UPDATE: CANTILEVER BRAKES HAVE PERFORMED WELL UNDER NORMAL RIDING CONDITIONS WITH A FEW HARD STOPS. THEY'VE PERFORMED AS WELL AS MY TRP BRAKES. NO SIGNS OF WEAR YET. NO SIGNS OF STRESS FRACTURES OR CRACKS FOUND. UPDATE: 9/20/2017 I'VE BEEN USING THE BRAKES ON THE FRONT WHEEL FOR ALMOST 9 MONTHS WITH NO ISSUES. I'VE BEEN ON LONG RIDES WITH 1 MILE DOWN HILL DESCENTS. NO ISSUES. I REMOVED THE BRAKES TO INSPECT CLOSELY AND FOUND NO SIGNS OF WEAR. I'M AN OVER 200LB RIDER, AND I'VE BEEN PLEASANTLY SURPRISED WITH THESE BRAKES AND THE CARBON PLA. I STILL ADVISE CAUTION WHEN USING THESE.
