Originating from the Castle of Montemor-o-Novo, this piece was designed to facilitate the transportation of small quantities of liquids, whether it be drinking water or wine. The exemplar found, a singular discovery in an archaeological excavation context at the Castle of Montemor-o-Novo, showcases a thickened and beveled rim for exterior use, a short neck, and a globular body with two vertical wings featuring oval cross-sections.
