It is a high-quality low-poly 3D model of the Canon Vixia HF R40 Black camera used in various fields such as game development, advertising, interior design, motion picture art, and visualization. The modeling process involved using ortho-photos of the real camcorder to recreate its design with the utmost accuracy. One of the advantages of this model is that it consists of just a few meshes, making it easy to use and saving system resources. It also has three materials - Body, Strap, and Glass Lens - which contribute to its low-poly nature. Regardless of the renderer used, the model's realistic appearance can be attributed to high-resolution photo-textures. These textures, combined with the competently thought-out topology, enable the model to achieve maximum quality even when viewed up close. For added realism, the textures employ various techniques such as Specular, Glossiness, Bump, and Emission. The latter is particularly useful for luminous elements like screens and indicators. To optimize Bump depth, a Bump Multiplier of 0.1-0.2 is set in Maya Software materials or V-Ray MTL materials. The model's main textures number seven, with all of them featuring a square resolution of 4096 pixels in JPEG format. Original PSD texture files are also included for added convenience. Additionally, the Bump Multiplier setting helps to create realistic depth and dimension. For a seamless opening and closing animation, a simple rotation of the display mesh is sufficient. The model was created using Maya 2009 and features real-world scale in centimeters. All parts are correctly grouped and named for ease of use. To facilitate rendering, an adjusted render-scene has been created in Maya 2014 with V-Ray 2.40 plug-in support. This scene can be opened in earlier versions of Maya up to 2012 with V-Ray 2.0, as it is saved in the MA format. The scene includes five V-Ray Rect Light reflectors and features assigned V-Ray MTL materials.
