Canon RF rear lens caps (VERSION 2 - custom IDs in the works)
prusaprinters
VERSION 2.1I've updated this file and removed all the older files. I found a major error when I was building these and it turns out it was my own dumb mistake of publishing a series of unoptimized design files (the versions I had printed out were my optimized design and worked perfectly). This version corrects several errors that users have identified and fixed to suit all sorts of slicers. I always welcome feedback and will try my best to fix them when I can.For now, I only have the RF-labelled version with built-in supports included, and will be uploading other indexed versions in the coming days when I have time.I didn't find a good RF cap that worked well, so I designed my own.Built this from the ground up in Blender with scans and precise measurements from an existing OEM cap. I kept it pretty close to the original cap but added text on the back to identify a good portion of different Canon lenses and teleconverter (in the works). Find the appropriate one that works for you.Custom supports are built into them. The cap has an alignment mark and bayonet stop.I use Matter3D filament that can be heat annealed for greater strength. The cap is snug and will stop in the correct position. Print on a well-calibrated machine. Bayonet leaves will sag if the temperature is too high. You can turn on support if this happens.Print SettingsPrinter brand:CrealityPrinter:Ender 3Rafts:Doesn't MatterSupports:NoResolution:.2Infill:10% GyroidFilament brand:Matter3DFilament color:BlackFilament material:PLA
