The Canon EOSR / EOSRP 35mm RF lens boasts a clip lip that enables a stand-off filter holder to be engineered. I aimed to attach 50mm Astronomy filters directly in front of the lens for extended exposure astrophotography sessions. The RF 35mm demands approximately 20mm of travel to safely focus on macro distances, thereby positioning the filter at least this far away from the camera and securing it within with a 2mm thread retainer. The design is remarkably straightforward to produce.
